Gareth Green (1960) is a British composer, organist, pianist and teacher. Starting at a very early age with music lessons from his father, David Llewellyn Green, Gareth won the Dixon & Turpin Prizes for FRCO at the age of 18. He studied at Worcester College, Oxford University & the Royal College of Music in London and holds the FLCM in Composition. He has held Organ Scholarships at St. Pauls Cathedral in London, Oxford University and Canterbury Cathedral and was Assistant Organist at Wakefield Cathedral during the early 1980’s. He worked for many years as an accompanist to and soloist alongside the renowned French trumpeter, Pascal Geay. Gareth has experience as a School Director of Music and now offers support & professional development opportunities for teachers. He is the Musical Director of Music Matters Courses and has made a vast number of online video courses on many aspects of music and also works as examiner, moderator, trainer and international coordinator for the ABRSM. He is an experienced performer as an organist, pianist and conductor across Europe, Asia and the USA as well as being a published composer. Several of his compositions for Organ and Piano, as well as a progressing series of pieces written for the Piano student, are published and available with EJ Music Publishing Ltd.
